IPP releases at MCA paper reviews

Catherine Bond has made two recent successful applications for release at MCA for her IPP clients. This means the Parole Board directed release at the paper review rather than the clients having to wait many months in custody for an oral hearing to be listed.

One of the decisions also found the recall unjustified. It is rare for recalls to be found unjustified, and even more so without oral evidence.

These decisions reflect the importance of strong, detailed representations at the start of a review. It can make the difference of many months of liberty for clients who are regrettably still subject to these inhumane sentences.
